TGIF !!! To say I’m excited that it’s finally Friday is an understatement! Hope you all had a fabulous week and are heading into the weekend with something exciting to do. Happy Friday the 13th! Did any one else love that movie growing up? Back when LiLo was cool and not crazypants status … Anyway, I hope you’ve had an incredible week and today goes by quickly so you can start your weekend! I’m looking forward to the amazing weather we are expected to have over the weekend … minus the gardening I was summoned to do … Meh!


Favorite Stationary: Girlie? Check. Frilly? You bet. Most adorable thing I’ve seen? Sure is!


Favorite Dessert: I’m not a huge fan of strawberries (I’m not a real person, I know), but these strawberries mini cookies certainly caught my eye! I bet I’d like those ;)

Yippee! It’s Friday! I’ve only been waiting for this day to come for 20 days! Working for 21 days straight isn’t exactly my cup of tea, so this three day weekend couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.


Favorite Decor: Really, really digging the brown walls with the bright pink accent. You might find me painting this weekend…

Have ya’ll heard “cheers” by Rihanna? It’s been stuck in my head all day … it’s a pretty catchy song! Although nothing can ever compare to my weekly dose of Rebecca Black’s “Friday”, it plays a pretty close second. Take a a minute and listen to it, You’ll thank me … and if you’re not in weekend mode after hearing it, there’s a problem. Hope everyone enjoyed their week!

Citrus & I go together like peanut butter and chocolate, tea and crumpets, Carrie Bradshaw and shoes … okay, I’m sure you get the idea, I really love anything citrus. My boyfriend often complains that my meals are “too citrus-y” … sorry, boyfriend, but there’s no such thing as being too citrus-y in my book!. Although I enjoy all of the health benefits of eating citrus, I also have an infatuation with anything citrus scented, citrus colored, or even citrus patterned. With it being the first offical week of summer and the kick off to citrus season, I wanted to share some of my favorite citrus items!

Favorite Lotion: Pink Grapefruit Puree by The Body Shop This lotion moisturizes and softens your skin while leaving a cool, refreshing aroma.

Favorite Shirt: Calypso St Barths I love the sheer, blousey feel of this shirt

Favorite Sandal:Wetseal This super cute sandal is both classy and bold!

Favorite Accessory: Stella McCartney’s white cotton fold-over clutch with a multicolored citrus print will instantly energize a minimalist look. Carry it in your hand or by the gold shoulder strap to give a sleek white dress a fruity summer twist.

Favorite Dessert: Key Lime Pie This light and refreshing pie is the perfect ending to a summer night.

I’ll Take It In White!

You’ll soon realize that I have many summer time favorites! White shorts being one of them. There are just too many fabulous things about summer … it’s hard to pick just one favorite! I used to be against anything white … In my opinion, it got dirty quickly -the fear of ketchup and mustard stains!- or you’d look completely washed out.

In college, one of my sorority sisters -288♡- always wore white shorts, and they looked nothing short of fantastic on her. They complimented her tone legs beautifully, and she always looked fresh and dazzling. After admiring her cool and collected style, I decided to mend my relationship with white shorts and give them another chance.

My view on white shorts was completely wrong and white shorts are now one of my favorite summer pieces. Its neutral color allows for endless opportunities for different outfits. With just one pair and a handful of shirts in different colors, texture, and patterns, you’ll be able to create a flawless outfit for any occasion.

When picking out my outfit in the mornings, I find myself always gravitating towards blousy, colorful tops combined with a pair of white shorts and a thin brown belt. Fabulous! I will certainly be making up those lost years not wearing white shorts this summer!
