Dressed to the Maxi

26 Jun

Like most, I love summer. Lemonade stands, soaking up rays, brightly colored pedicures … all among my summer favorites. One of my recent favorite summer staples is the maxi dress. Maxi’s are the LBD of summer … easy to throw on, perfect for any occasion, and look great on all body types. If you don’t already own one, run out and buy one ASAP. Trust me on this one! This dress will be become your best friend this summer. Available in a variety of patterns and styles, this dress will be your go-to of the season.

“The Office” – Getting dressed for work in the summer is always a hassle. Finding something work appropiate, yet cool enough to eat lunch outside can be tricky. That’s where the maxi comes into play. For the office, cover your bare arms and add structure to your look with a tailored blazer (I love a great blazer!) and add a pair of wedges or heels for height. Accent your waist with a skinny belt and you’ll be the fashionista of the office …

“The Weekend” – When it comes to weekend attire, I always opt for something comfortable, easy to throw on, but yet still looks put together. My soffee shorts & tank days are long gone, so when I’m looking for comfort, yet style on the weekends, I turn to the beloved maxi. Keep things casual with sandals and a fedora you can turn heads and win hearts as you flaunt your style ’round town.

“Date Night” – Not sure what you’re doing or where you’re going for your weekly date night? Throw on a maxi to ensure you’re not under dressed or over dressed for any occasion. Finish your bo-ho date night look with some fun costume jewelery. Bangles and necklaces are the perfect touch!

This floor-length stylish dress is easy to toss on, it keeps you feeling cool in the summer heat, and is comfy-chic. Maximum style and maximum comfort!

What are your thoughts on maxi’s?

I love maxi’s but often find that they are far too long (I’m 5ft 2) or the neck line is too low and so I have to wear a t-shirt or vest top underneath to cover up a bit.
